You need to know where you are... to know where you're going

Increasingly, customers, clients, potential business partners, funding bodies and e.g. RFPs (requests for proposal) want proof that organisations have valid, deliverable, timebound Carbon Reduction Plans in place.

But you need to know where you are... to know where you're going!

Businesses need to understand their current emissions status, and all the processes, business activity and business practice that create their current carbon footprint, before they can do the work of creating a Carbon Reduction Plan.

According to the UK government’s Department of Energy and Climate Change (now part part of the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy), becoming carbon neutral involves a process of measuring your carbon emissions, then reducing them and offsetting any remaining emissions so that your "net calculated carbon emissions equal zero."

The first step on your journey to carbon reduction has to be a carbon audit.

Find out where you are, and then you'll be in a much better place to know how to get to where you want to be.
